Department of Old Testament
The Department of the Old Testament offers courses in educational activities that allow students to gradually become familiar with the content of the Old Testament, grasp it and be able to interpret it.
Emphasis is placed on students acquiring the ability to:
- work with Old Testament texts in the original languages,
- apply acquired knowledge in catechetical and homiletic practice.
In the area of research activity, emphasis is placed on research in the field of translation problems of Old Testament texts and apocalyptic writings of the intertestamental period.
